For over 20 years the Parish of St. Luke had hoped to construct a daily mass chapel next to their sanctuary and by doing so, create an appropriate space for their tabernacle that had remained in a storeroom. In another part of the church, a salvaged Italian mosaic was being stored for eventual use as a feature for the chapel entry. At approximately 800 square feet the chapel will comfortably hold 20 people for daily mass or small weddings or a funeral. Mostly, the space is a quiet, devotional, and contemplative light-filled environment that can be entered from outside or from within the existing church.
