The Sweetwater Union High School District has big plans to update and modernize each campus’ sports stadium. Bonita Vista High School’s new track and field facilities are set to open for use at the end of 2022 including a synthetic turf field for football, soccer, field hockey and lacrosse. The nine-lane track is ready for CIF competition with new bleachers for both the home and visiting teams. Supporting the stadium is a new building that houses home team and visitor team toilet rooms plus concessions stand. Instead of a low key building off to the side, this new building is placed and designed as a dramatic entry statement for the entire campus with plenty of color and creative lighting accents.
