The assignment at this parish in the Diocese of Orange was to update the altar platform for ADA compliance, create a permanent Baptistery, and update some of the liturgical furnishings. Using the imagery of Moses creating a water source from a rock, the Baptistery was created from a 9,500 pound granite boulder that was polished and plumbed to provide a stream of water flowing into a submersion pool below. Removable stainless steel grates were provided for fall protection.
