Quantum Academy, Escondido CA

Originally built as a special education facility, the Escondido Union School District remodeled and added onto the building to create an amazing STEAM school with an enrolment of 350 students in classrooms provided with state-of-the-art technologies in a project-based environment.  The classrooms are gathered around two creation spaces where students gather and exchange project ideas, set up exhibits, and combine talents. The combined 24,500 sq. ft. structure was completed in stages beginning with modernization of the food service, then a sprinkler retrofit followed by classroom and lunch shelter additions without an interruption in the school’s schedule.
